" Do not panic! We have all gone through that phase: NYC is a huge city and not knowing where to start planning a trip is more than normal. Do not worry: today we will tell you the 10 places to visit in New York (essential for a first trip).

The Top of the Rock is the panoramic viewpoint of the Rockefeller center, it is 260 meters high and has two different terraces: one on the 69th floor and one on the 70th floor. From there upstairs falling in love with New York is inevitable: with the city at your feet (literally), noticing a lot of Emotions mixed with the normal vertigo of that height, you will quickly realize that New York is one of the most spectacular cities in the world!

Many people prefer the viewpoint of the Empire State Building, but we see a defect: from there you can not appreciate the mythical figure of the Empire itself ... so this is the reason why, without a doubt, the Top of the Rock is our favorite viewpoint and one of the best places to visit in New York.

  • Our advice: go up to both ... but if you have to choose stay with the Top of Rock. Here we tell you everything you need to know to get on the Top of the Rock.
  • Price: $ 38 at the box office. If you prefer to book it in advance you can do it here. Eye: it is free with the City Pass or the New York Pass (yes, it is very worth buying it!)
  • Where:30 Rockefeller Plaza

How many times did you see the Central park from your house? Virtually every movie filmed in New York (and see that there are not a few) has a scene in this incredible park, the green lung of Manhattan. So when you finally enter its zigzagging roads you will have the feeling of being in a familiar place. In this post we have told you everything you have to see and do in Central Park so take note. Tip: if you want you can rent a bike to tour the park (it costs about € 8/2 hours). By the way, here you can read a few curiosities about Central Park.

  • Two tips: the first, dedicate (at least) one morning or an entire afternoon to enjoy this green corner. Second: take advantage of the visit to visit two of the most spectacular museums in New York: the Natural History and MET.
  • Price: Central Park is free, the Museum of Natural History and the Met are included in the New York Pass.

Brooklyn is one of the 5 districts that make up New York City (next to Manhattan, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island) and personally, it is one of the ones we liked the most! If you have time to devote a whole day to this “city within the city” we recommend you look at our one-day itinerary in Brooklyn. But if not ... what to do? Leaving Brooklyn for another occasion? Noooo! You have to go, even if you DUMBO and walk the most famous bridge in the world on foot (as long as the Golden Gate allows us): Brooklyn bridge.

The High Line was one of the places that surprised us most in New York for one reason: we had no idea of its existence. If everyone has heard of the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge, not everyone knows the High Line. And what a shame! In this Urban park have taken advantage of the elevated tracks of a old train line to create green spaces, art galleries accessible to everyone and a few more surprises.

Throughout its 2.3 km you can enjoy privileged views over the neighborhoods of Chelsea and Meatpacking District, in addition to the pleasure of being surrounded by nature in the middle of "steel jungle."

Plus: since March 2019 there is one more reason to travel the High Line… in its northern part, the new Hudson Yards neighborhood was built, where is The Vessel, a stair-viewpoint building that is a real past: don't miss it . Also from here you can see a couple of the best works of Kobra.
