When we arrive at the pier Tunamaya Resort in Tioman Island we were speechless: are we really going to spend 3 days in this paradise? Well, yes: the place seems to be taken from some movie set ... crystal clear blue waters, emerald green jungle, two impressive peaks that welcome us and a beautiful sea resort.
Jessica met us with a welcome cocktail Mango and citrus and told us more about the resort, we soon met Rasid, the bar and restaurant manager and Mohd the cook who visited us during the following days.
Our cabin It was beautiful, we refer to the photos. In the complex there are 54 villas (overlooking the sea, the mountains and the gardens), all of 33 or 43 m2. The rooms have a / c, minibar, plasma TV, safe and are very well decorated. There is housekeeping service twice a day and they always leave you a sweet treat 😉
Every day there is activities such as volleyball, board games, movies, batik classes, yoga in the morning, or you can take part in a snorkeling trip, also in scuba diving classes or jungle treks to your roll.
Of course, you also have the Beach Where to pay a good dip and explore the corals that are at the edge of the shore and if you are one of those who like to get up early, you can contemplate a wonderful sunrise in a unique environment!
And for those who need absolute relaxation there is a spa balines That is a jewel for the eyes (and I guess the body!).
One of the most beautiful corners is undoubtedly the swimming pool. We had never bathed in an infinity pool and the truth is that a lot cool hehe. The rest of the time we spend between talks, meals, walks, snorkeling, sunsets, relax and more food.
And speaking of food we have to highlight the Tunamaya cuisine quality: we tried nasi goereng (fried rice), mee goereng (fried noodles), chicken satay, fish and shellfish, steamboat (a soup where you cook seafood, meat, noodles and vegetables) and on the last night they prepared a piece of barbecue of seafood and fish that I think we will never forget. Awesome!
During these 3 days we feel very well deserved above all from Jessica, Rasid, Mohs, Farah and all the staff who always attended us with a smile and with so much kindness.
The Tunamaya is one of those places where, if you have the possibility, it is worth hitting a whim ... you will remember it forever!
