The Swedish capital is one of the most beautiful of all the Baltic Countries: formed by 14 islands and bathed by the cold waters of the northern seas, it is a beautiful city and full of corners (more or less) secrets that will make you fall in love. If you are looking for a list of things to do and see in Stockholm read on ... we are going to tell you the best of the city in 30 very interesting points

1) Walk through the cobbled streets of Gamla Stan, the beautiful old town of Stockholm, with its colorful houses, artisan shops and very romantic atmosphere. Tip: the best way to get to know the center of Stockholm is to do a tour 🙂 this only costs € 13 although there is also a free tour that will take you to know the main places of the center. Just leave a tip to the guide!

2) Visit the “Kungliga Slottet”, The Royal Palace of the city, one of the largest in Europe. If you decide to visit it you will see the state apartments, the Gustavo III Museum of Antiquities, the treasure, the Royal Armory, and the Tre Kronor Museum. And maybe you even come across the kings!

3) Since you are there take advantage and observe the changing of the guard! It's always a curious thing to see 🙂

The old town is a pasote 🙂

5) One of the great attractions of the city is the Vasa Museum, where the Vasa ship that was shipwrecked in 1628 during its first trip and that was rescued from the ocean floor in 1961 is guarded. The truth is that it impresses quite a lot!

You can admire more than half a million paintings, drawings and sculptures of Scandinavian art. Although if you want to visit a more original museum (and only hehe) we recommend that of Abba!

10) Do not get lost Skansen, a very peculiar open-air museum on the island of Kungliga Djurgården: when we went there were food markets, the rock was in traditional costumes and we even got involved in a straw battle! There is also a small space for animals from northern Europe and old houses from different eras and areas of Sweden. Reserve your ticket here.

11) If you have time (and money) you can also enjoy an amusement park: Gröna Lund which is next to Skansen. We did not go.

12) If you want to deepen your knowledge about the culture of Sweden you can visit the Nordiska Museet (Museum of Swedish Culture).
