Our trip to Chile and Easter Island in 31 days will allow us to visit some of the most interesting and visited areas of the country for which we would need months if we wanted to know it a little more thoroughly. Given the time we have we will try to cover the most touristic points and thus be able to get to know and get a first idea of this amazing and fascinating country.
Located in the southwestern part of South America, Chile has a coastline of almost 6450 kilometers and is made up of three geographical areas, which are divided into continental Chile, island Chile, to which Easter Island and the Chilean Antarctic Territory belong.
With more than 18 million inhabitants, Chile is considered one of the countries with the highest per capita income in Latin America.

Given that Chile is a large country and with very different meteorologically speaking areas, it is difficult to determine the best time to visit the country as a whole, although in general we can say that the high season encompasses the months of November to February (spring-summer), at which time the Patagonia area is full of people.
The average season runs from September to November and from March to May and they are the best months to visit the capital, Santiago, Chile, as well as make a route to the Lake Region or the wine regions.
The low season is the one that goes from June to August, the best ones to visit the country if you have in mind to enjoy skiing in one of its famous tracks or if you want to visit the Atacama Desert area, where temperatures are more benevolent
Due to the distances on a trip to Chile, moving around the country is not as fast as we would like, so it is best to opt for air travel, with the company LAN or Sky Airline, which connect with the main cities and points of interest.
Another option is to opt for buses, since Chile is a country with a good infrastructure in this regard and several companies that make connections between all the tourist places in the country.
We must also bear in mind that car rental will allow us to access less touristy areas or with less transport services such as the Atacama Desert, Easter Island or Chiloé.
